NO ROOM FOR FAILURE: UNITE AND WIN EDO AND ONDO ELECTIONS.
Aare Amerijoye DOT.B.
As the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) approaches the pivotal governorship elections in Edo and Ondo, it is imperative that we unite our intents and purposes with an unshakable resolve to win. The stakes are too high, and this moment demands more than the usual political playbook—it demands our utmost dedication and all-encompassing effort. Victory must be our only outcome. The time for passive strategies has passed; this is an era for bold action.
To borrow from Kahlil Gibran, “Your living is determined not so much by what life brings to you as by the attitude you bring to life.” The attitude we bring to these elections will determine the future of our party and our beloved nation. If we bring the mindset of victors, if we commit fully to the battle ahead, success will follow. We must resist the temptations of half-measures, or worse, regretful reflections of *”had we done this or that”*. Every move we make must be calculated, and every strategy executed with precision.
Philippe Ariès once said, “What we leave undone remains with us forever.” Let this be our rallying cry: that no task shall remain unfinished, no opportunity unseized. Every member of our party must align behind the shared vision of victory, pouring every effort into these elections. There can be no room for second-guessing, no margin for hesitation. The memories of past elections must fuel our determination—this time, there will be no missed chances.
Willa Cather’s poignant words remind us of what we can achieve when united by purpose: “Where there is great love, there are always miracles.” The love we bear for the PDP, the love we bear for our people, and the love for a Nigeria that can thrive once again—this love must fuel us. Together, we can work miracles. With victory in Edo on September 21 and in Ondo on November 16, we will restore the PDP’s rightful momentum and send a clear signal to all Nigerians: the future belongs to us.
Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s words should inspire us: “The most important thing in life is not just the ability to win, but to learn from defeat and rise stronger.” These elections are not only about securing a mandate—they are about reaffirming our strength as a party and as a people. We have learned from the past, and we are now ready to rise, stronger than ever.
Now is the time to act with boldness. Every effort must be deployed, every avenue explored, and every hand on deck. Let us move forward, confident in our ability to win and reclaim the future. Victory is not only possible—it is within our grasp.
